How to Make Molar Solutions
A 1 molar solution is a solution in which one mole of a compound is dissolved in a total volume of one litre.
This is mine and my teammates after picture of our Molar Solution Lab. We had 5 red cups with 5 different Molar Solution Sucrose. We started with 100mL of water and added sugar, then added another 100mL to make it a total of 200mL. This process happened for all 5 red cups. After, we found the initial mass of it. Once we found the initial mass, we had to do the second part of it. For the second part, we added potatoes but before that, we massed them. Once the potatoes we massed, we added one in each of the 5 red cups. We found the final mass with the potatoes added into the 5 red cups. Lastly, we put parafilm paper over each solution. The parafilm paper covered the solutions and protected them from getting contaminated.
This is a picture of my graphed mass changed results. There was a few mass changed after my final results, but there was no change at .3. .3 is the molarity of the potato. This means there was no percent of mass change at .3.
